Since you all enjoyed the last ornament....

Hi everyone! Thanks so much for all your kind comments on my last post. It was fun to hear from you :-) Since you liked the last one, I thought I'd post this card which was another possibility when I was coming up with what we were actually going to do for club. This didn't make the cut though obviously.~ I used the Daisy Die for the Big Shot to make the ornament. They we cut out in Brushed Silver and Brushed Gold. In the center I have a Build-a-Brad which I filled with Crystal Effects and red glitter. This card has lots of sparkle even though that doesn't translate well on a photo. The background was also done with the Big Shot, and I used some elastic cord to "hang" the ornament. Words from God's Blessings. Hope you all have a great start to your week!

Simply Hung

TGIF Readers! The weekend is here - woohoo!!! Today I have a card that we made at club on Monday night. I always challenge myself at Christmastime to make some Christmas cards WITHOUT using a "Christmas" stamp set. Here was my attempt this year. I used Friends 24-7, and the words are from Sincere Salutations. The 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, and Modern Label Punch made up the ornaments, and I scored strings to hang them from - kinda hard to see that from the pic. - I kept this ultra simple b/c we always do one 'quick and easy' card at club, but this could be embellished in so many ways! You could add real string and a bow to hang the ornaments from, you could do a corner treatment, you could stamp pine above and alongside to look like they are hanging from a tree, you could mount or frame the greeting, you could emboss the ornaments or add another punch layer...well, you get the picture! Colors are: Chocolate Chip, Handsome Hunter, Real Red, Whisper White, and Brushed Gold. - Wishing you a wonderful weekend! - Have you signed up for the Christmas Gift Extravaganza yet?

Color Dare #42

This week, our colors (Really Rust, Chocolate Chip, and Bashful Blue) worked perfectly for a certain occasion I needed a card for: the birth of a new nephew! I know this is a busy card, but I really liked how it turned out. I used some old DSP (Apple Cider I think it was), along with Short and Sweet and God's Blessings for the main supplies. I made a sweet little punch art lamb which I think are just perfect for baby cards! You just use the Scalloped Circle and then a 5-Petal Flower Punch and cut it in half. There are two little eyes as well - just didn't show up in the pic very well. Lastly, some Vintage Brads, Blue Gingham Ribbon, and the Scallop Edge Punch rounded out the card! Hope you enjoy it.- Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.~

A Snowy Box of Treats

Hi Everyone! Sorry for not posting over the weekend...it's been super busy in our neck of the woods, and I just haven't had computer time I usually do. Part of the busy-ness is from prepping for my Christmas Gift Extravaganza - are you signed up yet? Hope you can join us!

Last night we had Stamp Club, and here is one of the projects that we made. It is a box to hold 3 Ghiradelli chocolates. We used Serene Snowflakes and the color scheme of: Bravo Burgundy, Brushed Silver, and Whisper White. You'll see the 1 1/4", 1 3/8" and Scalloped Circle Punch along with the Eyelet Border Punch on our white "liner" on the inside of the box. One of our clubbers had the idea to stamp her tissue with the snowflakes as well, and it sure looked cute! Hope you enjoy this little project.~ Have a great Tuesday, and I'll see you tomorrow for the Color Dare!

A Little Punkin'

Here was our last club project from October. A 3-D Punch Art Pumpkin stars in this Love Note. I used the grass from Inspired by Nature in the background, and the words are from Fresh Cuts. Short and Sweet! Why not make a little Love Note to brighten someone's day in your life? It only takes a minute...

Color Dare #41

So I caved and got this cute hostess set from the Holiday Mini finally. I just loved those trees! Here is my submission for The Color Dare this week. I'm focusing on quick Christmas cards these days, and this set really fits the bill. Our colors were: Soft Suede, Bermuda Bay, and Whisper White. It's hard to see in the photo, but the star is actually done with Heat and Stick Powder and some glitter. It's super sparkly (hence the word)! You'll notice some retired Snowflake Vellum, and some SS Polkadot Grosgrain. Silver Brads, and the Word Window and Modern Label finish out the supply list.

Masking Fall

Happy November Everyone!

Here is another card from stamp club last month. This card focused on the different masking techniques. We used masking to stamp the leaves without overlapping them, we used masking to omit the flourish on the Give Thanks stamp, and lastly: we masked to create the oval "glow" around the words. -

I really liked how this card turned out, and it's fairly easy (except for maybe trimming out the acorns) :-). Stamp Sets: Holiday Best, and Autumn Splendor. Colors: Dusty Durango, Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, More Mustard, and Confetti Cream.
